Aaron Tregaskis
Investment Director
Background
Aaron has been with NZVIF since its inception and is responsible for the day to day operation of the venture capital fund of funds. He is a member of NZVIF’s Investment Committee.
Prior to joining NZVIF, Aaron had a successful career in the international equities markets including managing a discretionary $50 million listed international equity portfolio and investment, and consulting for UK public and corporate pension funds on equity manager selection and portfolio construction.
Over the past 10 years, he has developed extensive fund manager selection experience in both public and private markets, including both the pre-investment due diligence and post-investment monitoring and risk analysis. Within the private markets, Aaron has over five years experience in investing into and managing a venture capital fund of funds portfolio.
Aaron graduated from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand with a BCA in Economics and Management in 1994. Aaron attained the Investment Management Certificate (IMRO), the benchmark qualification for investment management in the UK, from the UK Society of Investment Professionals in 2000.
